Clean, well staffed and friendly staff. Constantly paying attention to details. Calmly explained the menu, ingredients and cooking process. The appetizer really enjoyed it. Enough to start the dinner. Main dish meat was tender and not overcooked. Great flavor. Dessert on point.

Just a block from the Diamond district in NYC. Lovely decor, very nice staff. Appetizers were tempting but we are going for filet minion and stuffed cabbage. I feel a desert in our future too. We passed them coming in and they look sooooo wonderful.

Great place to go with a larger group and try a bunch of amazing food! The staff was helpful in answering our questions regarding how much food/drinks would be sufficient in a larger group. Everything was wonderful, especially the lamb, and I would recommend getting the appetizer sampler.

Two Jersey gals (me and my mom) had a very New York night (dinner and a show) and stop one was Akdeniz. A quick search on Yelp for lamb chops and we were led to this great Turkish restaurant in the heart of the theater district! The space is big but cozy and so beautiful They have an upstairs as well so this would be great for intimate dates or even big group things. We made a reservation for a Tuesday night but could have easily just walked in. We let them know we were in a bit of a rush and they were so wonderful about getting our order in and bringing out food quickly. We started with the babaganoush which was super tasty. I'm a sucker for eggplant dip and love tring variations of it at definitely Turkish or Greek restaurants. And their pita was also so tasty! Thicker and fluffier than you would usually see so be aware that you'll fill up quick if you don't control yourself. For entrees my mom got the lamb chops (as was the plan the whole time) and I got the salmon kabobs. This is where things got interesting!!! The salmon kabobs came out looking like dolmades. Yep, stuffed grape leaves. I politely reminded them I ordered the salmon kabobs and they politely ensured me that that was indeed what was on my plate. They were soooooooo good. So good. And so different. Ive never seen anything but rice and meet in a a grape leaf before and loved how different it was. So to recap: go, try the salmon kabobs, get a dip so you can try the delicious pita, enjoy!!

A tasty and well priced restaurant for the area. Decor is nice and vendors are nice. We were charged 20% for service so something to keep in mind even for 3 people On Friday. Each thing we ate had its own flavor and felt distinct and well made.

We were staying near by and noticed this restaurant and after talking a glimpse of the menu we decided to try it for lunch. We ordered various appetizers and shared between two people. Service was friendly and efficient for lunch rush hour. We sat in a high top by the bar the bartender was nice and checked on us multiple times even though it was busy when we arrived. Food: my favorite bite were the kibbeh I could of eaten 5 it was delicious. The pita tasted fresh and homemade. Will definitely return when back in NYC. My sister left her phone and they were nice to hold it for her and we were able to pick it up.

Lunch for 1. - Ambiance (4/5) Comfortable, clean environment. A little nondescript to be honest. - Service (4/5) Friendly and fast enough. A little odd that they have the QR codes for online ordering but insist on taking the orders the usual way. - Bread (5/5) The Turkish bread was so, so good. I could have made a meal out of the bread alone. - Turkish Tea, $4 (5/5) Pretty hard to mess this up, served in the proper glass. - Dolma, $12 (5/5) Great flavor, wrapped well. Could have done without the lettuce bed. - Manti, $24 (5/5) Wow, so so good! Each dumpling was so good, like really al dente pasta. The yogurt sauce added just the right amount of tang. - Baklava w/ Ice Cream, $10 (5/5) Can I give this a 6/5? Wow!! Baklava was flaky and slightly sweet. But the Turkish ice cream with the baklava just took it next level. - Value (5/5) I think these were really reasonable prices for Manhattan, with sizable portions. The tea, perhaps, a little expensive. - Final Word Wish we had Turkish food like this in the SF Bay Area. I think I found a spot I'll revisit every time I'm in New York. Eager to return and try other things!
